Legal dating age?
Sent to Relationship Experts November 08 08:55 PM

Hi I am an 18 year old male and I met this girl who is 13 who I really like a lot, let's just say her name is Nicole. We met when I was 17, but she is still 13. My parents hate her just because of her age. Ever since I turned 18 they refuse to let me talk to ANY girls younger than 15, even just on the phone. I really don't see a problem with talking to a girl if you have pure intentions. Her parent (she lives with her mom) thinks I'm a great guy, but I realize that in my state (Alabama) it is illegal to have intercourse with a minor, but all I want to do is see her, hold her hand, kiss her, nothing extreme. My parents won't let me call her or even talk to her online. I'm an adult now, I should be able to do what I want, am I right? Is this legal to see her and kiss her and nothing more? I really would like to know if I need to stop talking to her or not. We haven't talked since my 18th birthday, so I want to know if I can still talk to her without worrying about getting in trouble with the law.
